We love visiting old stores. Buffalo Mercantile Co. & Cafe was perfect - small and historic. I had a personal pizza and Chris had a hamburger. Both were great.

My wife and I just moved to the area, and we were happy to see this place open. We enjoyed burgers and garlic knots in-house and ordered a pizza to go. The staff are friendly and we will definitely be back.

Awesome little place out in buffalo cove NC, friendly people all the way around .. if you need a stress free day and a step back in time, stop by give them a visit and try their pizza....you will be glad you did

I love this little country store! So much history in that place. The lady that runs it is super sweet and kind. And they have some of the best candy you can’t find anywhere there! This is a must stop anytime we head up to my aunt’s cabin.

Awesome place. It takes you back in time because of the atmosphere and the small history. Pizza is of the chain, meaning it is delicious. The ingredients was fresh and worth the wait. Go see for yourself.

Great little place, popped in for a bite to eat and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looks great with some interesting decor, food was good (had a pizza with generous toppings), staff were friendly and chatty. A bit off the beaten track but worth the effort to swing by.

I can't say enough about this place. It's certainly a hidden gem. The food is out of this world! The ladies working were wonderful to talk to. The whole experience was well worth the ride up. We'll definitely be back.

I've been wanting to visit this place for some time now, and I'm so glad I finally made it. This is a hidden spot, in the middle of nowhere, and yet, perfect location for an out of the way country store and restaurant. It's only 15 minutes from Hwy 268 / Happy Valley area. The food was delicious, the ambiance was super cozy and inviting, and the view from the back deck was calming. The pizza dough is made in-house as well as all of the pasta and pizza sauces. I highly recommend trying the garlic knots with a side of marinara sauce. So good! Holiday hours are short (see picture), so make sure they are open before making a trip out. Summer hours are 11-8 PM (Tuesday through Saturday).
